John Cornicello - Director, New York Operations

John Cornicello, a 31-year veteran of the NYPD who retired in 2012 after serving as the head of the Brooklyn North Homicide Squad, has directed all investigations and special protection operations in our offices throughout The Americas. He also directs all aspects of Squad Security’s operations for the New York Office, which includes the eastern region of the US.

As a Lieutenant-Commander of Detectives for the NYPD, John served in one of the city’s highest crime areas and led one of its most active and storied detective squads.

At the NYPD, John ranked from Detective Investigator to Supervisor and Commander of Detectives, where he was recognized as an expert in investigations and investigative case management. He has testified as an expert witness of investigation practices in New York State judicial proceedings. He also has lectured on investigative practices to both newly assigned investigators as well as seasoned veterans. He served nearly 10 years as the head of a Homicide Task Force, one of only six such positions within the NYPD.

His experience in private security includes his completion of the ASIS Security Executive Development Program at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

As a Director at Squad Security John combines technical skills and extensive contacts among law enforcement with a management background and experience in private security that assures all our clients receive the highest level of security, investigation and protective services they deserve.

Robert Mullane - Director of Administration, Americas

Robert Mullane, a former Inspector with the NYPD now coordinates all the administrative tasks associated with Squad Security’s multi-state investigation, protection and security operations.

He directs Squad Security’s quality control and compliance oversight, assuring business registrations are current and active, and that all employees of Squad Security are properly licensed and bonded. Bob also oversees all insurance matters for Squad's various locations throughout the United States.

During Bob’s 30-year career with the NYPD, he commanded various patrol, investigations and operational support units throughout New York City. As an Inspector, and one of the NYPD’s highest-ranking managers, he routinely interacted with the Commissioner’s office and District Attorneys in the five boroughs. His last assignment was as the Commanding Officer of the Criminal Justice Bureau.

Bob brings an in-depth knowledge of administration and field operations to Squad Security, along with a broad network of contacts throughout the law enforcement and criminal justice communities.

Phillip DiGiacomo - National Logistics Security Coordinator

Phil DiGiacomo is Squad Security’s National Logistics Security Coordinator. In that capacity Phil manages the high-value cargo security operations for Squad Security throughout North America and oversees our special projects at national production events.

Phil DiGiacomo is a former Lieutenant with the NYPD who retired in 2004 after serving as the Lieutenant-Operations Coordinator for the Bronx Narcotics Division. He was responsible for the day-to-day operation of investigations of narcotics related crimes in The Bronx. He was administratively responsible for the personnel recordkeeping and the care and maintenance of an 85,000 square foot facility. Phil was also the Training Commander, a role that made him responsible for the scheduling and training of the units 900 members.

He rose to the rank of Lieutenant after serving in various local area precincts in Lower Manhattan, East New York and Queens. He was also an Investigations Sergeant in Bronx Narcotics where he supervised Detective-Investigators conducting firearms and drug related investigations.

As our Nationwide Logistics Security Coordinator, Phil utilizes the practical skills that he learned in law enforcement with his private security expertise to assure our private and corporate clients are receiving the highest level of security services they deserve.

Carla Queme - New York Office Manager

Carla Queme is the New York Office Manager for Squad Security.

Ms. Queme has been an important member of the Squad Security team since 2012. Carla started as an Administrative Assistant, working her way up to the position of Office Manager. As Office Manager she is responsible for the efficient day-to-day operation of Squad Security’s Main Office, located in Uniondale, New York.

Her principal duties include the proper preparation of payroll, billing and invoicing, as well as managing the administrative and financial aspects of Squad Security. Ms. Queme will also provide assistance on special projects and personnel matters. Her skill in these matters insures Squad Security’s standards for efficiency and high performance in all aspects of our organization.

Before her employment at Squad Security, Ms. Queme worked as a Customer Service Representative for a major retailers clothing store, and attended ASA College where she studied Medical Assisting.
